SunGlo PSA265V permanent post heaters are designed for permanent, in-ground installations. They work well when centrally located, as they radiate heat in all directions. These heaters are generally spaced 8 to 15 feet apart, depending on local climate conditions. These 24-volt controlled heaters come with transformers and can be controlled by remote switches.
The e-series electronic ignition model has no standing pilot. It buzzes and lights automatically when the (remote) switch is turned on. We suggest using the electronic ignition heater only in wind-protected areas.
The standing-pilot ignition model's main burner will light when the (remote) switch is turned on, if you leave the pilot lit and the manual control on the heater in the "on" position.
